Hope Reformed Baptist Church was founded in 1996 by a group of families interested in having a distinctively Reformed Baptist church in Suffolk County, NY. Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Merrick, NY offered their oversight and assistance in planting the new church. The first service was held in Amityville on Father's Day, June 16, 1996 while the first facilities were being prepared on Portion road in Farmingville. The first service in the new facility was held on August 18, 1996 and the church remained there until it moved to the second facility in Medford on September 5, 2004. After spending over fourteen years there, the church purchased its own facilities, a beautiful church building on Westfield Road in Coram, in September of 2018 and had the first service on December 2, 2018.
